When is the programme?
Every year, the Department of Agriculture would take intakes early in the year. For example, the 2009 intake was in February. Please be mindful that the application start 5 months before like that so keep a lookout on the application. The 2009 intake was on October 2008.

We provide the detailed insights on basic lab cultivation of algae to scaling up of algae cultivation in mass level. Our lectures and practical sessions are designed to prepare our trainees to work with microalgae with the basic scientific knowledge.
The workshop aims to provide comprehensive knowledge and understanding on the following:
1. Hands-on experience in basic lab techniques involved in algae cultivation such as Isolation and identification of microalgae, cell counting,
2. Theoretical basics to understand the cultivation of microalgae starting from preparation of nutrient media to mass production
3. Demonstration of Mass cultivation techniques to provide unique experience to the participant and prepare them for industrial exposure.
